Pawling Community Garden
142 Lakeside Dr, Pawling, NY 12564, USA
Just built and planted in summer of 2025, a group of volunteers revitalized an underused and forgotten old "town park" into a thriving Community Garden. It includes a 200' x 16' Pollinator Garden filled with all over 1,000 native plugs, trees and shrubs, and a 50' x 80' organic community vegetable garden with 30 raised beds. The mission of the community garden is to create a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy the shared experience of growing healthy food while learning about the pollinator/food connection while creating connection. More than "just a garden", it is the hub for education, collaboration, and environmental
stewardship. While our mission is to bring our community together through gardening, it is, however, much more than that. The Pwaking Community Garden provides a space for all of us to plant the seeds of inclusion and to cultivate active participation among cultures, abilities and means. We have a strong desire to bridge gaps across our beautifully diverse population. We hope we have created a garden where everyone-- regardless of age, race, gender identity, religious background, etc. --- feels valued, safe and connected.
