Pepperell Town Garden

This small, formal garden was dedicated in June 2026 to commemorate the town’s 250th Birthday. The project was conceived, managed, and funded by the 250th Celebration Committee, and supported by the DPW, donations from local nurseries and gardeners, designed by the Invasive & Native Plant Advisory Committee, who also planted it with assistance from the Pepperell Garden Club and residents. The shady space with benches includes a mix of NE native and non-native plants in reds, whites, and blues, that provide a cool place to rest and enjoy the colors and textures, and the pollinators they attract.
Plants include Inkberry, Chokeberry and Winterberry shrubs, along with Cardinal flowers, Red columbine, Woodland phlox, Foam flower, Dutchman’s breeches, Bloodroot, Amsonia, Astilbe, Heuchera, Great Blue Lobelia, Downy penstemon, Coneflowers, and a planter of annuals.
