The Phoenicia Library Native Plant Garden was created in 2017 to establish a permanent garden for community gathering and as a locus for future environmental education. The native plant garden provides 1700 square feet of space and remains as an enduring source of education on their use, beauty and benefits. Since its founding, the library has held landscaping classes that focus on native plants and sustainable gardening. The garden is also a space for patrons to read, play and enjoy nature.
