This approximately 200- square-foot garden is designed as a low-maintenance, perennial pollinator habitat that provides continuous blooms from spring through fall. It features layered plantings of columbine, lavender, catmint, coneflower, light purple bee balm, black-eyed Susans, and white asters arranged in natural drifts to attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The design places taller plants along the fence, mid-height flowering perennials in the center, and lavender and catmint along the front edge for year-round structure and fragrance. Plants are selected to thrive in the bed's part-sun, dappled-shade conditions while providing nectar throughout the growing season. The finished garden will have a relaxed, cottage-style appearance that supports local wildlife and offers color, texture, and movement from early spring until the first frost.
