In May 2025, the Plymouth South High School Environmental Club, supported by numerous staff members and students, planted two new pollinator gardens alongside their existing vegetable gardens. These gardens provide vital food and shelter for pollinators like bees and butterflies, enhancing the pollination of vegetable crops and promoting healthier, more productive plants. Throughout the school year and into the summer, PSHS classes, in collaboration with Terra Cura, help maintain the garden beds. Julia Dougherty, a recent PSHS graduate and employee at Morrison’s Home and Garden, lent her expertise in selecting native plants for the pollinator gardens. The beds feature a vibrant mix of flowers, including Caradonna Sage, Bee Balm, Butterfly Weed, Beard Tongue, Purple Coneflower, Black-Eyed Susans, and Brown-Eyed Susans
