St. Chrysostom Church

St. Chrysostom Church’s Angel Memorial Garden was established in 2024, as a contemplative space to remember deceased members of the parish, in a way that also benefits the local ecosystem. The garden space was conceived of after an old tree fell leaving the space underneath newly exposed to sunlight. A gravel pathway was built through the new garden. Some existing anchor ornamental shrubs were kept in place, but the remainder of the garden was planted with all native perennials, shrubs and one tree (eastern red bud). As of 2026, we are in our second year of growing and have begun adding new plants, mostly relocated seedlings from our 2025 blooms.
