The Down

An acre of formal garden, surrounded by lowland (near-coast) grassland (damp orchid grassland meadow, traditionally-mown hay meadow and long - & short- turf grassland (partly being converted into a forage-meadow), with additional features being added (pollinator banks, bee scrapes, ponds, mini-forest (coetir-bach) and bramble islands, llwn), as well as copses (ash, hazel, oak) and orchards (local variety). Whole property surrounded by loosely managed hedgerow (loads of berry plants, early flowerers, bramble). Gets surveyed regularly (given my background!)
