Tolland

I have been slowly and systematically adding native plants to my property for many years, but more aggressively in the past 3 years. Removal of invasives is ongoing with vinca and Pachysandra the latest projects. I have even begun to remove some of my beloved exotics to make more room for native plants to support wildlife. I am reducing my lawn and have added an asclepias bed and a solidago bed. A wisteria I had growing on an arbor on my deck has died (providence?)and been replaced with a native honeysuckle. I have added a native shade garden in the back with virginia bluebells, mayapple, celandine poppy, black cohosh, trillium and hepatica. I am also part of a group starting a PollinatorPathway group in Tolland, CT.
