Vermont Flower Farm
2263 US-2, Marshfield, VT 05658, USA
Vermont Flower Farm has been at this location since 2006 but my wife and I have been growing pollinator plants at two other locations for 42 years. The current farm is situated on the Winooski River and is bordered on the west side by another 5.1 acre property that is 2/3 open fields and 1/3 spruce plantation. That land has remained wild and untouched for 25 years. The river is part of the river flyway that begins in Burlington Vermont with the Lake Champlain Flyway. This location from Burlington west to the Atlantic Ocean is a critical eastern flyway with major bird, butterfly, and insect impact. We plant annuals and perennials specific to birds and insects and monitor Monarch butterflies, bumblebees and Warblers, as examples. We are beginning to build a new garden on the west end of the property following Kelley Norris' New Naturalism format. That will be completed by Spring 2026. We have plans for a river walk to be completed by 2027. The farm is open to the public 9-5 daily, seven days weekly from May through October and other times by chance or appointment.
