Welcome to the Plymouth Pollinator Pathway!


Everyone is invited to join the Pollinator Pathway. To join please make a commitment to: Pesticide-Free Gardening,  Add a Mix of plants native to our ecological region, remove invasive plants, find spaces to leave the leaves in support of pollinators, and register on the Pollinator Pathway map.

Plymouth Kiwanis Club Point Park
48755 Ann Arbor Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170

First planted in Spring 2023 by Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP) with help from volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Plymouth ---Two areas on both sides of the "Plymouth" hedges and an area along the southern border of the park (planted in Fall 2024).


Planting: More than 40 wildflower species were seeded.  75% of the mix were native perennials/biennials, 25% of the seed mix were annuals.  CHP uses annuals as a cover crop while the native wildflowers are getting established.

Golf View Park
47000 Powell Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170

Three distinct areas in Plymouth's Golf View Park. The smaller two areas, next to the sidewalk, were first planted in Spring 2023 by Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP). The largest area, between the sidewalk and the forest line, was seeded in Spring 2025.


Planting: More than 40 wildflower species were seeded.  75% of the mix were native perennials/biennials, 25% of the seed mix were annuals.  CHP uses annuals as a cover crop while the native wildflowers are getting established.

Brentwood Park
14450 Robinwood Dr, Plymouth, MI 48170

A rectangular planting near the eastern border of Brentwood Park. Planted by Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP) in Spring 2023 with volunteer help from the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Plymouth.


Planting: A seed mix of more than 40 species of pollinator-friendly wildflowers.  The mix is comprised of 75% native perennials/biennials and 25% annual wildflowers.  CHP uses annual wildflowers as a cover crop while the native plants get established.

Adient
49200 Halyard Dr, Plymouth, MI 48170

Two exterior locations planted at the world headquarters of Adient in the Spring 2025 by Creating Habitats for Pollinators and Adient's Global Sustainability division. Part of Adient's Earth Day celebration. Locations are next to the parking lot in front of the building and adjacent to the front entrance.


Planting: Diverse pollinator-friendly seed mix of >40 varietals.  75% natives/25% annuals. Use annuals as a cover crop while the natives get established.

Lake Pointe Soccer Park
14435 N Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170

A compact area near the entrance of the Lake Pointe Soccer Park planted by Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP) in the Spring 2024. The planting sits near the northern fenceline of the parking lot.


Planting: More than 40 wildflower species were seeded.  75% of the mix were native perennials/biennials, 25% of the seed mix were annuals.  CHP uses annuals as a cover crop while the native wildflowers are getting established.

East Middle School
1042 S Mill St, Plymouth, MI 48170

Three distinct planting areas at East Middle School. First planted by Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP) in Spring 2023. 2 interior courtyards of 1,700 sq ft each and an exterior planting adjacent to the school's band room. Exterior planting is open to the public; interior plantings must be cleared by the front office.


A seed mix of more than 50 species of pollinator-friendly wildflowers.  The mix is comprised of 75% native perennials/biennials and 25% annual wildflowers.  CHP uses annual wildflowers as a cover crop while the native plants get established.


Fire Station 2
41212 Wilcox Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170

A planting on the property of Fire Station #2. Planted by Creating Habitats for Pollinators (CHP) in Spring 2023 with volunteer help from the Kiwanis Club of Colonial Plymouth. The area was damaged by road construction in 2024 and reseeded in 2025.


Planting includes: A seed mix of more than 40 species of pollinator-friendly wildflowers.  The mix is comprised of 75% native perennials/biennials and 25% annual wildflowers.  CHP uses annual wildflowers as a cover crop while the native plants get established.

Starkweather Academy
39750 Joy Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170

Three distinct areas in the front/on the side of the building. Planted in Fall 2025 with the help of the Key Club of Plymouth/Canton High School.


Planting: Diverse pollinator-friendly seed mix of >40 varietals.  75% natives/25% annuals. Use annuals as a cover crop while the natives get established.
